Luca Tomassini (1965) is an Italian entrepreneur, business executive, and academic.

He is the Founder, President, and CEO of Quibyt and Executive President of the SiliconDev Group.

Appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro by the President of the Republic and Grand Official Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, he is an Adjunct Professor at the LUISS Guido Carli University. Considered one of the fathers of Italian mobile telephony, he was Senior Vice President of the Telecom Italia Group and inventor of CuboVision (now TIMVision). He has received numerous prizes and awards for digital innovation such as the National Innovation Awards from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He was the inventor of the world’s first Mobile TV on 2.5G technology for TIM in Italy, Brazil, Peru, and Greece and of the world’s first Multi-View Video Streaming service on 5G technology. He is President of VatiVision, the worldwide on-demand distribution service of films and documentaries on culture, art, and faith. He is President of the Luca and Katia Tomassini Foundation. Through Holding Holding, he participates in numerous companies operating in the world of digital, telecommunications, alternative energy (Miprons, Innovation in Space Proion), and Business Angels (PathFinder Investment).
